Asus G2P Laptop Review
The Asus G2P is aimed entirely at gamers. The laptop itself is designed quite like a computer game. The design is very futuristic and new, with bright colours, highlights and vents.
Asus have delved deep into the mind of gamers and have designed this laptop to meet the gamer’s needs. Just above the keyboard sits a blue OLED display so when you are deeply engrossed in full screen gaming you can see what time it is or if you wish to programme it to let you know what ever you want.
Asus have even made the gamers life that little bit easier but highlighting the standard gaming control in bright red, just so you don’t miss them. Asus have also built the keyboard to withstand finger punishment so that you get quality for your money.
Not have Asus just delved into the mind of a gamer and highlighted keys and given you a cool OLED display but they have also given you good quality audio. The speakers may distort slightly at higher volumes but not everything is perfect.
The 17” screen is just right for game playing and can create a good quality image for most things. It may not go up to the full 1080p but it can handle almost everything else. Just above the screen comes a 1.3mp webcam so that when you’re playing online you can see who’s butt your beating at Pro Evo or who the person is that has just beat you down the last stretch of the racing track.
This laptop is also packed with power. It has Wireless and Bluetooth along side a Mini-Firewire, five USB ports, DVI-D and VGA connectors.
The Asus can handle most hardcore gamers but those who choose 3D titles at high resolutions may be disappointed. If you’re one of them you may want to turn towards the Alienware laptops.
I’m sure like you, I looked at the price and though this laptop is a bit expensive even after reviewing it but actually it isn’t bad. The Asus G2P comes with a free rucksack, a Logitech optical gaming mouse and you’re also covered by a world-wide two year collect and return warranty. All of that for ₤1,599, isn’t really that bad.
Overall laptops.co.uk give the Asus G2P 4 out of 5 stars.
