Asus EeeTop ET2010 Desktop Review
The all new Asus EeeTop ET2010 certainly packs all the stylish and ultra-slim design of an all-in-one PC. Specifically designed to replace your desktop computer and features quick and easy start-ups as well as other plug and play capabilities such as a HDMI input. The ET2010 just like other Asus EeeTop PCs will clear up your desktop and can even be wall mounted turning into a TV screen too.
The Nvidia Ion Chipset mother board paired with the Nvidia GeForce 9400M with 512MB of dedicated graphics and an Intel Atom processor certainly sounds impressive, but it isn’t that impressive.
The Ion chipset is partnered with Intel's 1.66GHz Atom D510 processor and, despite its two cores it may stumble when having to maintaing multi-tasking. That isn't significantly quicker than previous generations of desktop Atoms, and restricts the Asus to basic tasks.
The rest of the specification is satisfactory with 2GB of RAM, a 500GB HD, a DVD writer, 802.11bgn wireless and all packed into an attractive chassis. In addition, there is a 20inch screen which is more than satisfactory and is certainly responsive and accurate.
The image quality of the machine is sharp yet isn’t bright enough. As a result the colours are dull and lifeless and with a glossy screen the quality is dull and lifeless. On the other hand the speakers of the ET2010 are average.
This might not be the most powerful of the all-in-one range but it is an incredibly thin and attractive package that is more than ideal for the average user that doesn’t enjoy delving into more demanding software or gaming. In short it is overpriced and under powered.
