Asus UL20A 2X089V Laptop Review
The UL20A combines stamina and portability along side a splash of power thanks to the Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor and 3GB of RAM along with a spacious 320GB hard drive. Yet all at the same time being robust and withstanding a high amount of torture thanks to the tough yet attractive combination of plastic and brushed aluminium, which helps to add to the more expensive look of this laptop.
This laptops main credibility is its battery life even pushed to its limits it can manage up to four hours which numerous laptops cannot even manage in general daily activities and even though it may 1.7kg it certainly isn’t the heaviest or the biggest laptop to carry thanks to its relatively small dimensions of 29.8 x 22.5 x 2.9cm. Within these dimensions is incorporate a great 12.1 inch screen that is bright, crisp and boasts excellent colour.
However, it is not all good news. The keyboard is sluggish yet the keys do provide a textured finish which provides again adds to the more premium feel.
It’s daily performance is decent and is excellent for web surfing and word processing and its 3D power is mediocre and therefore can handle some basic photo editing software. With a 320GB hard drive to store those photos in and still be left with space this is certainly a laptop that you may wish to carry around with you. However, even at a great and comfortable size this laptop does not feature an optical drive and therefore an external CD drive will have to be added to your budget.
Overall it is certainly a compact laptop with a great battery life and a mediocre performance. Nonetheless, it is more than satisfactory for the price.
