The Dell Inspiron range has undergone a design change making them better looking yet still offering adequate performance for a minimal investment, without cutting any corners. Even though this range is not a laptop revolution it does present a solid package and decent graphics for a fair and somewhat bargain price.

Portability aside, weighing over 3Kg the Dell Inspiron 17R is certainly a back breaker. In partnership with that the low battery life it’s clear this laptop is not for seekers of portability. However, its desktop replacement specifications are superb.
