Panasonic ToughBook CFW4 Laptop Review

This bulk of a machine is packed with an Inel Pentium Ultra Low Voltage processor, a minimum of 512MB which can be upgraded to a total of 1GB and a 40GB hard drive The W4 also has an impressive battery life, it can last up to nearly 6 hours.
The Toughbook W4 is only semi-rugged so it can’t withstand huge knocks and obstacles this also makes the Toughbook W4 far far thinner, lighter and sleeker. Yet this doesn’t mean the Toughbook W4 won’t withstand a one metre drop or wouldn’t withstand 100kg of pressure because, believe me, it can. Panasonic have situated the CD/DVD drive just under the right hand side palm rest and at the flick of a switch the entire right hand side of the track pad flips open to reveal all and if you wish to save battery life then flick the switch the other way and the CD/DVD will turn itself off.
The keyboard is not as bad as the W2 was but the keys are still fairly small and the enter key is annoyingly tiny and will take some getting used to. The touchpad looks annoying, fiddly and round. It is round but it isn’t fiddly or even annoying at all and is very effective and easy to use.
The Toughbook doesn’t come with all the luxuries of most laptops as this one is built more to resist being sat on then anything else but luckily it does come with Wi-Fi.
Overall Laptops.co.uk gives the Toughbook W4 4 out of 5 stars as the does exactly what it says on the label and also isn’t to shabby performance wise.
