Samsung Q70 Laptop Review

Samsung have branded this as being ultra portable; well I’m sorry Samsung because this is quite a large and heavy laptop. It weights in at 2kg if the large battery is attached. Samsung have tried to specialize in technology rather than looks and style. Along with the Intel T7300 Processor which runs at a good 2GHz, along with 2GB of RAM, you also get a 13.3” screen and a 160GB hard drive.
The screen is really something to brag about. It has a brilliant resolution and it shows colours in a realistic and sharp manner really bringing colours to life.
Its keyboard is nicely laid out without any of the keys being to small or to different to a standard keyboard. Samsung have finally got rid of most quick launch buttons which is why the keyboard has been given so much space. The touchpad well is small and fussy to be honest I would advise you to buy yourself a mouse and to use that. It will save you time and effort and make everything so much easier.
The quick launch button which is there is for the Samsung’s AVstation media player which can’t be used unless the laptop has booted up. This is quite useless seeing that the laptop comes with Windows Vista the Media Centre software takes care of all the music and video files and does a better job.
Along with all of that you also get built in Wi-Fi, two USB ports, integrated Bluetooth, a mini-Firewire socket and a VGA port.
Overall this laptop has gone less for style and more for technology. It’s packed with all sorts to help most people through their day. It is slightly on the heavy side and is one of the less desirable ultra portable laptops, yet for this amount of money you aren’t going to get yourself anything much better.
