Dual display tablet PCs are to be unveiled at some point before the end of 2007 in what is the latest development in commercial computing technology . The tablet PCs will be made by South Korean manufacturers e-Detail, with each machine comprised of two back-to-back screens, one of which will be 14 inches and the other 7 inches.
The device will be ideal for one-on-one presentations, with the presence of both a MultiWeb pad and Prezenter screen allowing two people to use the device simultaneously. The MultiWeb pad is the more sophisticated of the two screens, though both screens will run on Windows XP and have the conventional use of a PC .
Kang Dong Youn, e-Detail CEO, revealed that the device is likely to be launched in India first, at a price of around £800. Sales are expected to reach £150 million in India over the next few years and £5 billion globally in the years to come.
