Researchers in the United States have found that men may be risking infertility by using laptops . Researchers at the State University of New York found that the heat generated by laptops may be enough to cause infertility when males use laptops placed on their lap.
The study involved 29 healthy men ages between 21 and 35, all of whom were dressed in normal clothes in a climate controlled room. Some of the men kept the laptops in place on their lap throughout the session, whereas others merely sat in the same position without a laptop. Of the men using the laptops, there was a 2.7°C average increase in their scrotal temperature enough to cause infertility.
