Toshiba Unveil World's First HD DVD-RW Laptop
Mon, 24 Dec 2007
Toshiba have unveiled the world's first laptop to include a high definition DVD rewritable drive. The new version of the Qosmio G40 laptop is to be released in Japan at a cost equivalent to £1,750, allowing users to re-write HD DVDs and view them in high definition.

The latest model of the laptop has several other slight tweaks, distinguishing it from the tester laptop which was unveiled in May. Other new features include a second terrestrial digital TV tuner, a 400GB drive and a high definition recordable function, allowing users to record high definition shows on standard DVDs. The laptop weighs 4.8kg and has a 17 inch 1920x1200 pixel screen.
