This week saw Fujitsu release its new LifeBook computers, designed to appeal to travelling professionals. There are two new versions of the notebook, a LifeBook S6510 and a LifeBook S7210, adding to the range already offered by Fujitsu.
The LifeBook S6510 is thinner than two inches at its thickest, weighs just four pounds yet still has a 14-inch screen . It is designed to be more robust and resistant to spillages, making it very appealing to professionals on the move. Meanwhile, the LifeBook S7210 is similarly designed, but weighs in slightly heavier at 5.2 pounds. Each laptop contains an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, though both are lacking significantly in an important department.
Despite their intended audience requiring long battery life for their journeys, the LifeBook S6510 has a battery life of just 4.5 hours, whilst the S7210 has a battery life of 6.5 hours. It is possible to extend the battery life of both laptops, though only by a couple of hours, resulting in a significant flaw with Fujitsus latest models.
For those still wishing to purchase the notebooks, the LifeBook S7210 starts at $1,329 and the LifeBook S6510 starts at $1,529.
