Toshiba has unveiled its new laptop featuring the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor T8100. The Toshiba Satellite U305-S2816 retails from around $1,350, weighing just 4.6 pounds with a 13.3 inch widescreen display. It comes with a 250GB hard drive and 2048MB of memory . Toshiba have also lauded its Bluetooth 2.0 and Enhanced Data Rate, as well as its use of the latest draft 802.11n wireless standard.
The release of the new laptop comes after Toshiba enjoyed an excellent end to 2007. Although they ended the year as the fifth largest PC vendor – a ranking they will look to improve – the final quarter of 2007 saw Toshiba’s UK market share increase from 6% to 9%.
