Apple Unveil Thinnest Ever Laptop

Apple has just unveiled its thinner ever laptop – the MacBook Air. Weighing just 3 lbs, the laptop is just 0.16 inches at its slimmest point, and 0.76 inches typically. The laptop’s remarkable slenderness is made possible by its lack of a CD or DVD drive, with the CD drive’s functions to be instead carried out wirelessly by the laptop or other Apple devices.

The laptop will retail at £1,199 in the UK, though is available significantly cheaper in the US at just shy of £900. The laptop comes with a standard 80GB hard drive and 2GB of memory, a 13.3 inch back-lit screen, a full size back-lit keyboard and a tracking pad offering similar functions to those offered by an iPhone .
