Asus has unveiled its new mini low cost laptop . The $200 Eee PC is designed to appeal to those in developing countries, with its features not rivaling those of a top of the range laptop . Although no charitable scheme is attached the laptop as yet, at just $12 more than One Laptop Per Childs XO laptop, the two will undoubtedly become rivals.
The Eee PC laptop has a 7 inch screen, a 3 hour battery life, internet capability, 512MB of memory and Windows XP compatibility. There are also built in speakers and the laptop weighs 0.89 kilograms.
The three Es stand for Easy to learn, work, play; excellent internet experience; and excellent mobile computing experience.
