Cizmo have become the latest computer manufacturer to enter the gaming laptop market with the introduction of the CX1730M laptop. The notebook will incorporate the new Intel Centrino 2 Montevina Extreme X9100 processor, which is the first Penryn class mobile processor to exceed the 3.0 GHz barrier. Intel have also released four other processors, each of which are due to be released on July 14th.
The laptop comes with a 17 inch screen and will have an Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX graphics chip, demonstrating the focus on visual performance. In order to ensure a sharp picture, the laptops DDr3 standard memory can be linked to Intels 1066 MHz front side bus, as opposed to Intels typical 800 MHz front side bus.
The notebook will also include Intels latest PM45 chipset, providing a graphics upgrade on previous versions. Both the system and applications will load faster on the laptop as a result of the inclusion of the Intel Turbo Memory Module.
In March Vology became the latest company to release a laptop specifically targeting gamers, though an increasing number of manufacturers are becoming wise to the needs and wants of the gaming audience.
