New Ultra Mobile Laptop Launched

American custom computer manufacturers have launched a new ultra mobile PC as the market becomes increasingly competitive. The RazorBook 400 Mini Notebook Ultra Mobile PC will retail at $299 (£150) and is aimed at professionals and students wanting web access, flash games and instant messaging on the move. The machine weighs less than 2 pounds and has a 7 inch LCD display and a full size keyboard. The mini notebook runs on a Linux based operating system and is its 4GB solid state hard drive is shock resistant.

The device boots up in less than 8 seconds, and with a PDF reader, Mozilla Firefox internet browser, an email client and Office Suite which opens most Microsoft files, mobile computer is ideal for professionals needing to work on the move. However, the machine is not intended to be a competitor for PCs or notebooks, but is instead offers a less powerful but more easily accessible performance.
