A new report has shown that nearly nine out of ten laptop buyers would consider buying a portable laptop . A portable style laptop is defined as a laptop with a screen smaller than 15 inches and as lighter than six pounds, though the number of people who actually own such a laptop is less at around 6 out of ten. The findings suggest that people have different motives for buying laptops, having previously demonstrated a preference for larger screens.
The report is based on responses from around 2,000 Pricegrabber.com customers. The responses also indicated that the Asus Eee PC 4G Surf has been the most popular laptop so far this year. Respondents also indicated a preference for lower and mid-priced laptops, which accounted for 90 per cent of the participants laptops. Just 10 per cent of those consulted had a laptop costing over £1,000.
