Lenovo have announced that they are to introduce their new IdeaPad computer series into the Indian market. The U110 laptop model seems likely to be the first of Lenovos IdeaPad products to be released into the Indian market, and comes with a 120GB hard drive, 3GB memory, an Intel Centrino processor, a built in camera, Ethernet, Bluetooth and an 11 inch frameless display.
The IdeaPad models also come with Dolby Home Theatre and a MultiMedia Control centre, as well as a VeriFace recognition system which enables an easy log in process. The IdeaPad series have enjoyed great success in the US market and Lenovo are hoping to replicate this in India .
The U110 laptop on sale in America costs $1,899 (£900) and comes with a red or black cover and is etched in aluminium. Weighing just 2.4 pounds, it is one of Lenovos lightest laptops and has a glazed keyboard as well as touch sensitive controls. One major loss, however, is that Lenovo have omitted the optical drive from the U110.
