Panasonic Launches Toughbook Laptops

Panasonic have launched a new range of rugged laptops with its Toughbook series. The range includes a light-weight rugged laptop, a tablet PC and an ultraportable computer, with Panasonic claim target the business person on the move. The three laptops are known as the F8, T8 and W8 respectively. The series is expected to be available from November as Panasonic attempt to combine durability with the growing portable trend amongst computers .

The Toughboox F8 weighs 3.7 pounds and has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor . The laptop has a 14.1 inch wide display and comes with 4GB of RAM. The F8 also has a 160GB shock mounted hard drive, as well as an integrated handle for easier portability.

The Toughbook T8, meanwhile, runs on ultra-low voltage version of the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, but has the same 120GB hard drive as the F8. The tablet PC offers up to seven hours of battery life, weighs 3.3 pounds and has a 12.1 inch touch screen styles and screen rotating software.

Similarly, the Toughbook W8 has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 120GB hard drive. Weighing just 3 pounds, the ultraportable laptop has an integrated DVD multi-drive viewable on the 12.1 inch screen.
