Sony have unveiled the worlds lightest Blu-Ray laptop weighing under 3 lbs. The laptop has an 11 inch LED LCD display, two 128 gigabyte solid state drives and an HDMI output port enabling full 1080p HD playback. The Vaio TT is made of a carbon fibre chassis and weighs just 2.87 lbs and is less than an inch thick. The laptop comes with an 11 inch 16:9 XBRITE-DuraView LED backed LCD display offering 100 per cent colour saturation. The HDMI port also offers users the chance to connect the laptop to a larger screen if the 11 inch display is deemed too small.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 processor and its two 128 gigabyte solid state drives comes with RAID, WAN and EVDO for Sprint users. The basic models run on Windows XP though the majority of the series operate on Windows Vista . Although the starting price is £1,000, the cheapest Blu-Ray model is available at around £1,350 and is available in four colours black, carbon black, champagne gold and crimson red.
