Toshiba has announced it is to release a series of new
laptops as they update their consumer Satellite and
business Satellite Pro ranges. Both categories have proved a success for
Toshiba to date, though the laptops’ specific details are yet to be clarified, with an announcement on that expected in the second quarter of 2008.
The new laptops to be released in the consumer Satellite category are the 17 inch Satellite P300, the 15.4 inch Satellite A300 and the 13.3 inch Satellite U400. Meanwhile, a 17 inch Pro P300, a 15 inch Satellite Pro A300 and a 13 inch Pro U400 will be released into the Satellite Pro category.
In a bid to maintain a sleek and stylish image, the laptops are expected to include
LED lighting, a
touchpad with metallic mouse buttons and a touch sensitive quick launch multimedia bar.
