3 Cut Mobile Broadband Price for Laptop Users

December 04, 2009

3 has cut the price of its 1GB mobile broadband tariff to £7.50 a month in a bid to appeal to mobile internet users who do not need large download usage limits. The tariff has been reduced from £10 a month, offers download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps and comes with a free USB modem stick. While 1GB of data per month is not enough for regular mobile internet users, it is enough ot browse the internet for 10 hours and to send 1,000 emails. Alternatively, users could download 5 four minute videos and 32 four minute music tracks with 1GB.

If a 1GB download limit is not enough for your liking, 3 are offering a wide variety of deals this Christmas . Customers can choose between 18 and 24 month contracts, while 3 has also launched pay as you mobile broadband tariffs ahead of the Christmas period.

The mobile broadband market has surged in popularity with the rise in ultra portable laptops and handheld devices. Netbooks are likely to be high on shoppers’ lists this Christmas and are the ideal partners for mobile internet deals, many of which include ‘free’ mini notebooks .
