Orange has expanded its
mobile broadband deals to appeal to small to medium sized enterprises as well as individual consumers. The
mobile phone network operator has continued its spread into the
mobile internet market with the launch of two new 3G
laptops and
dongles .
The two new
notebooks are the
Asus 1005HGO and the
Compaq CQ61, both of which feature the new
Microsoft operating system –
Windows 7 . The 10 inch Asus 1005HGO has an exclusive
Orange embedded SIM Card, a 10.1 inch screen, webcam, a 250GB
hard drive and a 6.5 hour battery life.
The Compaq
laptop, meanwhile, has a larger 15.6 inch screen, as well as a webcam,
DVD player, an
AMD Sempron M100 processor, 250GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM. In addition to the notebooks, Orange is also offering consumers two new dongles. The Orange e1752
dongle comes with the new Compaq laptop, while the Option 515M dongle is also available.
The Asus laptop is available for free with a 24 month contract starting at £25 a month or on an 18 month contract costing £35 a month. The Compaq
PC is available for free on the highest 24 month 5GB data plan costing £35 a month, though it is cheaper to pay £180 up front and pay £30 for 18 months.
