February 04, 2009

Mobile network operator Orange has announced that it is to add two new laptops to its mobile broadband range. Orange currently offers the Asus 901 Eee PC for ‘free’ when customers take out their mobile broadband package, costing £25 per month; though they are currently out of stock of this model. However, the telecommunications company have now added the Hewlett Packard Compaq Mini 700 and the Toshiba L300 to its selection of laptops.

The HP Compaq Mini 700 is available for £30 a month, whereas the Toshiba L300 will set you back £35 a month over the duration of the contract. Both notebooks are accompanied by 3 gigabytes of data allowance per month over the 24 month deal.

The HP laptop has a 10 inch display, a 1.6 gigahertz Atom CPU, 1 gigabyte of memory and a 60 gigabyte hard disk drive . The L300 meanwhile, has a larger 15.4 inch screen, 1 gigabyte of memory, a 160 gigabyte hard disk drive, a webcam and is powered by an Intel Dual Core 1.73 gigahertz CPU.

Alternatively, customers may take out the mobile broadband dongle only package, for £14.68 a month.
