T-Mobile has become the latest
mobile network operator to offer a free
laptop and broadband bundle . For £25 a month, customers can take out the
mobile broadband package and receive a free
Asus Eee
PC 904HD
netbook . Whilst there are a number of operators offering similar deals, the bundle will compete directly with the deal available through
Orange, who offer a free Asus Eee 901 PC netbook with its £25 a month
mobile internet package.
The
laptop offered by
T-Mobile operates on
Windows XP, has an 8.9 inch TFT screen and 1 gigabyte of RAM exactly the same specifications offered by Oranges Asus netbook. It also has integrated
WiFi and
Webcam, but unlike the PC offered by Orange, it has an 80 gigabyte
hard drive, compared to the 901PCs 16 gigabyte hard drive.
T-Mobiles Mobile
Broadband subscription is available on a 24 month contract, complete with a 3 gigabytes of usage and a free
USB modem stick. One area where the Orange broadband bundle has an advantage, however, is that it the 901PC has mobile broadband built in, meaning there is no need for a
USB dongle .
