Samsung have unveiled their latest
laptop which they claim to be perfect for film lovers. The R620
notebook has a 16 inch high definition display with widescreen and a 16:9 aspect ratio to ensure that the whole film is displayed on the screen of the
PC with no black strips down the side. Perhaps the
laptops most important feature is the build in
Blu-ray drive, whilst the portable PC also has an
HDMI port to enable users to connect their laptop to a
TV to watch Blu-ray films on a larger screen.
The laptop also has built in Bluetooth 2.1, enabling users to send data to other
notebooks with similar capabilities without a need for wires. Wireless
internet access is also provide by the integrated 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity.
The R620 computer has an
Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an
AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics chip. In addition,
Samsung has fitted the laptop with 5,400 rpm HDD with a capcity of up to 500GB, and claim the laptop will be able to handle up to 4GB of DDR 2 memory. The laptop will also have a 1.3 megapixel built in
webcam, and a battery life of around 4.5 hours.
Prices for the R620 will begin at £699 in the UK.
