Vodafone added another
laptop to its range of models available when customers take out a
broadband bundle. The
mobile phone operator has added the
Acer Aspire 5535
notebook to its range of portable
PCs customers receive for free when they take out a
mobile broadband dongle deal. The Acer
computer is available on Vodafones £40 a month 24 month contract, which comes with a
free dongle and a monthly data allowance of 3 gigabytes. The laptop has an
AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 processor as well as 3 gigabytes of RAM, a 250 gigabyte
hard drive, 15.6 inch screen and
Windows Vista Home Basic.
Vodafone is offering three months of free
internet access for customers who sign up to their 3 gigabyte monthly allowance mobile broadband plan on a 24 month contract without opting for the laptop bundle. Following the initial three month period, customers will be charged £15 a month. For those only requiring an 18-month contract, a discount of £5 a month is available on the normal price of £15 a month.
Vodafones announcement follows mobile phone operator 3s decision to add the
Hewlett Packard Compaq CQ60 notebook to its laptop
broadband bundles in an increasingly competitive market.
