Lenovo have launched three new
desktop PCs and three new laptops featuring
Windows 7 and Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience
software . The Enhanced Experience software was first announced in September and claims to provide start up and shut down speeds that are 56 per cent faster than the boot times of
Windows XP and
Vista on Lenovo’s
PCs . The technology was developed in collaboration with
Microsoft and also includes multimedia tools which improve graphics, and better maintenance tools which improve
data recovery and
virus protection .
Among Lenovo’s new
notebooks, the IdeaPad Y550P laptop is the highest performing model and is being marketed the most powerful of any of Lenovo’s consumer products. With prices starting at $1,149, the
PC has an
Intel Core i7 processor, a 15.6 inch screen and Nvidia discrete graphics.
The U150 is the most portable of Lenovo’s new laptops, weighing less than three pounds and just half an inch thick. Prices start at $585 for the laptop, which has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an 11.6 inch
HD display.
The IdeaCentre H230
desktop is the cheapest of Lenovo’s new models, priced from $449. The IdeaCentre B500 is the most powerful of the new
desktops, priced from $649.
