Hewlett Packard has launched a new chic
netbook . The Vivienne Tam netbook
PC debuted on the catwalk of Vivienne Tams Spring 2010
fashion show at
New York Fashion Week, and offers a rare link between
computers and fashion .
The mini
laptop has a unique butterfly design, which it is claimed symbolizes the inspiration for Tams whole spring collection, which illustrates a Chinese love story revolving around Butterfly Lovers. It is the second time
Hewlett Packard has teamed up with Vivienne Tam, following the launch of the original red Floral
HP digital clutch.
The new small
notebook is more advanced in its specification, with a bigger 11.6 inch screen, a thinner design and revamped hinge arrangement. The performance spec of the new machine has yet to be announced, though it is not expected that there will be any significant developments from the previous version, whilst the price remains unknown. The HP Vivienne Tam
laptops will have
internet connectivity, and is expected to appeal to the female portion of the market.
The announcement follows news of the continued rise of netbook popularity, with the small computers quadrupling their market share in the past twelve months.
