Orange has been awarded
best broadband and
laptop deal in the Top 10
Broadband awards. The awards are based on 1.5 million customer feedback ratings as well as 400,000
broadband speed tests.
Virgin Media were the major winners in the awards, picking up two awards – one for providing the UK’s fastest
home broadband and another for Broadband Innovation for its 50Mbps product.
Sky picked up the best broadband and TV package,
O2 were top of the pile for home broadband, Plusnet’s was the best value home broadband while
BT offer the best
wireless broadband according to the awards.
Vodafone were the clear winners of the
mobile broadband awards, winning both the fastest and the best rated mobile broadband service. They may face stiff competition for the award next time around, however, after 3’s MiFi product went live, offering mobile wireless broadband for multiple devices. Users simply need to hook the 3 wifi router to their
PC, whether it is a
netbook,
notebook, or a
desktop . Thus, without needing to plug in a
USB dongle, users can connect mobile phones and
digital cameras to the
internet using the portable wireless hotspot.
