Microsoft is to release its new
operating system in three weeks time, with
Windows 7 set to become the biggest selling operating system ever. All new
PCs will come with Windows 7 pre-installed within weeks of its release, with the aim of making using a
computer easier and faster to use.
In order to be a success, Windows 7 will have to avoid the complications and frustrations of
Windows Vista, which was seen by many as overly invasive on your
PC for no great benefits. Users of
netbooks,
laptops and
desktops have all complained of similar problems, with restricted
wireless internet capabilities upon installation.
Windows 7 has received good reviews so far, and it will need to impress consumers following Google’s announcement that it is to challenge
Microsoft with its Google Chrome operating system. The Chrome
internet browser has received positive feedback from its users for improved
broadband performance and its good safety features, though Google has a long way to go before making significant inroads into Microsoft’s domination.
Mac users may still prefer Apple’s new
Snow Leopard upgrade, by the release if Windows 7 by Microsoft offers a more capable challenge to Apple’s stylish appearance..
