Computer manufacturer Toshiba has launched a new offer aimed at boosting laptop and television sales ahead of this summer’s football World Cup . The PC maker has pledged to give money back on selected products if England are victorious at this summer’s South Africa showpiece. The England Expects promotion covers any notebook PCs with Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, as well as Toshiba’s range of HD TVs, providing the model is 32 inches or larger.
Should England prove victorious, customers who have registered on the Toshiba website within seven days of purchasing their new computer can claim back every penny within 21 days of the final. The products must be purchased between April 12th and June 10th to be eligible for the promotion, which is being fronted by fans’ favourite Chris Kamara of Sky Sports.
Marketing Director for Toshiba, Matt Dowell, said the promotion was intended to show Toshiba’s passion and support for the England team ahead of the World Cup . The deal is unlikely to be unique, with a number of companies offering similar promotions. As yet, however, no broadband providers have launched such a deal.
