Sony is to follow up its launch of its M series netbook with two new E series laptops . The two new notebook PCs are expected to be available over the next few weeks, with a 14-inch and 17-inch model available. The smaller of the two models has a 2.13GHz Core i3-330M processor, and a resolution of 1600x900, while the larger of the two notebooks has full HD 1920x1080 resolution, a 17.3 inch screen and an i5-430M processor with Turboboost. Unlike the smaller model, the 17 inch PC has a Blu-Ray player.
Both computers will feature Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium, boast 500GB hard disk drives and have 4GB RAM. ATI Radeon video modules, WiFi and Bluetooth capability, webcams and HDMI and eSATA Ports will also be common to both models. A fairly innovative feature which both computers will feature is a boot option, allowing users to access the internet without launching the main operating system .
The 17 inch model, available in black or white, will cost around £700, while the smaller model will set you back around £500, and is available in blue, pink or green.
