Google have officially bought
Motorola for $12.5billion, the deal will see
Google pay around $40 per share, in a bid to back up the search-engine giants
Android OS with high-end hardware.
The buyout is a step forward for the search-engine giant to cement itself in the
mobile market and to try to compete with the likes of
Apple, who have recently been officially named the wealthiest company in the world.
Apple are in fact so wealthy they have more money than the USA.
Hopefully now the two companies will create a better user experience that will create an entire
Android system for the benefit of consumers, partners and developers.
The buyout does raise concerns that Google will cease to support Android on other
handsets following the acquisitions of
Motorola but it seems the joint vision is to create an Android platform that is equal if not better than the
iOS family Apple have created over the past few years.
