The worldwide release of the next generation in
Sony handheld gaming is to be delayed.
Sony has insisted that the
console will not be in the shops in time for Christmas but it will be in Japan by the end of the year. Sony had initially promised a phased global role out of their new handheld console but this now will not occur.
The
Playstation Vita is truly the next generation handheld gaming console from Sony. It is
touch screen and motion-sensitive it will replace its predecessor the
PSP, or PlayStation Portable.
September's
Tokyo Game Show will be the place where Sony broadcast the release date of the much anticipated Playstation Vita. However, they will have tough competition considering
Nintendo slashed the price of their gaming console the
Nintendo 3DS just six months after its release.
The Playstation Vita will cost around £152 for the
Wi-Fi only version and around £182 for the
mobile phone version.
