Sony has unveiled a number of new
Vaio laptop ranges based on Intel's new
Sandy Bridge processors.
The new lines range from an updated ultra-portable
Vaio S series, which features a 13.3-inch Vaio Display Plus screen, to the all-in-one L Series
laptops that come with a huge 24-inch touchscreen.
There’s also the cool 14-inch Vaio C devices which offer a choice of fashion colours, including two special orange and green ‘light emitting’ options that create a dramatic glow effect. They also include backlighting on the
keyboard .
Finally, there’s the 15.5-inch E series - Sony’s new entry-level Vaio machine – and the range-topping Vaio F series
laptop which comes with an optional
Blu-ray optical drive and a 3D display.
All Vaio ranges come with
Windows 7 Professional and Intel's new Sandy Bridge Core i5/i7 processors, apart from the E series which uses a less powerful Core i3 chip, and are expected to reach the UK by April.
