The world's largest
social networking site,
Facebook, has teamed with the
Skype to bring
video chat to all 750 million Facebook users.
Furthermore, Skype is at the present moment in the process of being bought by computing giants
Microsoft which already has a major sharehold in Facebook.
Here at laptops.co.uk we suggest that Facebook's inclusion of video chat is in response to
Google, who only recently launched a social networking site of their own,
Google+, that also features video calling.
However, there is a slight downfall. Facebook's new video chat only allows a conversation one-to-one where as Google+ allows users to have group video calls. Perhaps, this is a slight downfall but we are sure that Facebook will soon include a group video call feature. This is particularly considering Mark Zuckerberg commented that other premium Skype functions would be added in the future.
