The world has not even been introduced to
the iPhone 5 yet and already rumours are circulating that
Apple has started work on the
iPhone 6 .
According to the Wall Street Journal, the firm behind the
iPod and
iPad is considering releasing a new generation of
smartphones in 2012.
The report speculates that the
Steve Jobs -fronted company might be set to experiment with a "new way of charging the phone".
While no further details are provided, a number of websites have suggested that this might mean that the
technology giant could be looking to adopt something similar to HP's Touchstone technology.
Although this feature would not be groundbreaking, the ability to
wirelessly charge the
iPhone 6 would be a nice extra for tech-savvy users.
Meanwhile, there has recently been speculation surrounding the iPhone 5's release date with the Wall Street Journal claiming that a new slimmer design had caused problems at the manufacturing stage, potentially delaying the launch.
