A new
iPhone app promises to keep Brits on the right track wherever they go in the UK.
The TomTom v1.8
application now offers drivers the ability to programme multiple stops on a single journey, allowing them complete flexibility when organising their schedule.
It means motorists will be able to make planned stops at
petrol stations, pick people up or stop off at interesting
locations on the way to their final destination.
The upgrade includes the latest maps that reflect changes to the UK's road layouts and also has warnings about fixed speed cameras to help drivers avoid fines.
"At TomTom, we want to make
navigation as easy as possible for drivers," explained managing director for consumer products Corinne Vigreux.
"The new multi-stop routes feature is the latest example of that. If drivers want to make a few stops on their journey, they can just tap in the destinations from the start."
She added that the upgrades reflect the busy lives Brits tend to lead now, with many journeys having to encompass multiple stops.
Meanwhile, it was recently rumoured that
Apple would bring out two new versions of its popular
iPhone range this year.
