There’s an
app for this and app for that. Well now there is an app to settle your bill. Unfortunately, it is not applicable to every restaurant you will visit but you have to start somewhere. Many of us have found ourselves in a hurry to eat and settle the bill and nine times out of ten settling the bill takes a mighty long time.
Well thankfully, Pizza Express and
PayPal have teamed up to give you an app for settling the bill quickly. Hopefully, this will be the first of many apps and could very well do away, completely, with settling the bill.
Launched on the 20th of June 2011 the app not only allows you to find and book a restaurant but more importantly allows you to settle the bill via Paypal without involving the waiters.
Now before you ask about vouchers and special offers, these too can be integrated into your payment. It’s all a very simple process the
iPhone app allows you to settle your bill by simply entering a unique number given to you by your waiter which you then enter into the app and once you’ve authenticated the transaction the till gets a notification to say you’ve paid and then you get a confirmation email which helps you to get away quicky.
All in all, this app could very well do away with settling the bill at the till and will hopefully see more of these useful apps being released in the near future. At the moment the app is only available to
iPhone users but we should soon see it being rolled out on
Android .
