Toshiba has unveiled its latest entry level
laptops – the
Satellite C670 and Satellite C670D.
Both are basically no-frills laptops that come with 17.3-inch displays with HD 1600x900 resolutions and Toshiba's TruBrite technology, up to 320GB storage and up to 4GB of RAM (expandable to 8GB).
The machines also come with a built-in
DVD double layer optical drive, two USB ports,
WiFi connectivity, a multi-card reader,
Windows 7 Home Premium and a VGA
webcam with
Toshiba Face Recognition.
The main difference between the two laptops is the chipset, with the C760 powered by an
Intel Core i3 and the C670D fitted with an AMD E-series processor.
Graphics for the C670 are handled by either integrated
Intel graphics or dedicated graphics via an
Nvidia GeForce 315M, while the C670D packs the
AMD Radeon HD 6310 GPU card.
Toshiba’s latest Satellite devices are due to be released in the UK next month, although pricing for both laptops has yet to be confirmed.
