Samsung has launched a new ultra bright
3D -enabled
laptop that promises to counteract the effect tinted
3D glasses have on picture quality.
The Korean company’s all-new RF712 features the same Super Bright Plus system used in Samsung's Series 9 laptop, which displays a clearer picture (quoted brightness of 400 nits) on a 17.3-inch LCD screen that outputs video at full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).
The Super Bright Plus technology cancels out the picture dimming caused by tinted glasses, thus providing a better 3D-viewing experience.
Under the bonnet, the
Samsung RF712 comes with the choice of either a
Quad-core i7 or a
Dual-core i5
Intel Sandy Bridge processor, up to 8GBs DDR3 memory, an
AMD Radeon HD6650M graphics adaptor with 2GB of video memory, a 3D-compatible
Blu-ray drive and two 750GB
hard disks .
The laptop is available now in South Korea at a price of ₩2.6m, which equates to around £1,453 and includes a single pair of 3D glasses .
However, it is not yet known when the Samsung RF712 will go on sale in Britain details regarding UK availability and pricing are yet to been confimred.
