MSI has unleashed a new, ultra-powerful Full HD
gaming laptop .
Its latest machine the GT780DXR is powered by a 2GHz
Intel Core i7 processor and a
Nvidia GeForce GTX 570M
graphics card with an impressive 1.5GB of dedicate high-speed GDDR5 graphics memory.
The chunky 3.9Kg device supports up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM and also includes a combination SSD and traditional
hard drive storage system to offer both large capacity and high speeds.
Lift up the lid of the black brushed aluminium body and you find a Full HD non-reflective 17.3-inch display accompanied by a SteelSeries backlit
keyboard and a 2.1-channel Dynaudio sound system with 7.1 outputs for connection to a
surround sound system.
Theres also a
DVD writer, which can be upgraded to a
Blu-ray reader, a 720p high-definition
webcam, a card reader, a gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth 3.0, two
USB 3.0 ports,
HDMI 1.4 output, and a nine-cell battery.
Details on pricing for the MSI GT780DXR are yet to be confirmed but various online sources suggest the high-spec models are likely to cost upwards of £1500 when the
laptop goes on sale in the UK next month.
