The brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones are set to be unveiled imminently, and their designs have been leaked online, along with their prices.

Ahead of Mobile World Congress 2016 next week, noted leaker Evan Blass posted pictures from the first press renderings of the phones. The images indicate the phones will be available in black, gold and silver colours, as well as showing the shape the phones will have.

Samsung is expected to announce the phones at the “Unpacked” event at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona on 21 February, on the eve of MWC 2016, which is when Samsung is expected to officially unveil its latest additions to its smartphone range.

In terms of price, online rumours indicate that a 32Gb Galaxy S7 and a 32Gb Galaxy S7 Edge will cost approximately £540 and £620. The phones are expected to go on sale from 11 March.

Whilst quite expensive, this represents a competitive price, with the most recent Apple iPhones – the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus – costing more than that for just the 16Gb versions, when the phones were first released.

Also, according to a number of sources online, customers who pre order their new Galaxy phone before 10 March will receive a Samsung Gear virtual reality headset to use with their phone.
