Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ10 Digital Camera Review in Accessories

Laptops Thinks

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 is certainly a great camera but the new “intelligent” image processing isn’t all that “intelligent” the GPS and manual exposure modes are certainly steps forward that more advanced photographers have wished for but the softness of its images and the poor definition when you examine the photos closely are certainly what more advanced photographers would wish for. However, for the casual snapper the photos that this camera can capture are more than perfect for the family holiday facebook photo album.

Expect to pay

Pros

Very good picture quality and zoom as well as having an excellent design and build quality this camera is certainly a recommendable

Cons

If we want to be truly picky we’d argue that the only way this camera could improve in any way is if it had a quicker shutter speed.

Accessory Review

The Panasonic TZ10 Digital Camera is a great camera and the picture quality is crystal clear in daylight. However, if you get up to around 8x magnification you will start to notice colour bleeding and noise around the edges of objects which isn’t really for the professional photographer.

At night the quality wavers in the dark the pictures are equally impressive because of the strong flash. Nonetheless, there is a lot of blurring if you’re taking a snap in a changeable light situation. This is down to the long shutter speeds and this means that the picture takes longer to “develop” within the camera because it cannot take in as much light as other cameras. However, in order to counter this the shutter stays open for around 1-2 seconds meaning that anything that moves during this time is shown as a blur.

Nonetheless, you can change the setting to the Intelligent Auto mode which will lower the quality of the image but capture the scene quicker. If you’re looking for clear night photos you’ll end up with a couple of blurry photos before you get the one worth keeping and uploading on facebook.

Furthermore, it is pretty straight forward to sue and most users will be able to just point and click and get photos worth keeping. Nonetheless, there isn’t a great deal of information given on the more professional settings provided such as aperture or shutter speed options.

Nonetheless, this camera is great value for money and is a high end budget camera and for the portable point and shoot market this is most definitely a winner.

Conclusion

The Pansonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 boasts a high-resolution sensor, GPS, manual exposure modes and even though it seems to be aimed at the more advanced travel shooter it could still be the ultimate travel camera for everyone considering its at a pretty spectacular price of £230.
