Details of HTC’s new handset have been revealed.
One Max – which is powered by Android – offers a fingerprint scanning feature and a 5.9-inch screen.
HTC’s chief executive Peter Chou said: “The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One Max is certainly no exception.”
The mobile phone’s fingerprint scanner can be found on the back of the handset and will let users lock and unlock their screen. Three individual fingers can also be assigned to separate applications – allowing for them to be quickly launched with a single touch.
Long-lasting battery life is also being promised, with an optional HTC Power Flip Case offering a battery expansion to complement the large 3300mAh embedded power source.
Another new feature is Dual Capture – which allows photographs to be taken simultaneously using the rear and front cameras.
Models come with either 16GB or 32GB of memory, which can also be increased if need be through a microSD card slot.
The HTC One Max will be available to buy from around the end of October.
