Sony goes slim

Sony, are set to launch a new range of laptops that are reportedly thinner than the size of a men’s monthly magazine.

The laptop is made of carbon fibre and measures just over 30cm in length, 22cm in width and is less than 2.5cm thick.

The new Vaio SZ is known to be the thinnest and lightest to date weighing on 1.69kg.

The Vaio SZ features a x-black 13.3 inch screen, Core Duo Processor 2.0 GHz processor, a DVD RW drive, a 120Gb hard disk, finger print technology rather than a log in and passwords and a powerful graphics processor for playing games.

This series also has the ability to be changed to a ‘standard graphics card’ mode, and a battery with 7 hours life. These models also have wireless capabilities and come with an integrated camera and microphone.

The cost of this range of notebooks will start from £1099 in the UK but at the moment Sony have not announced when they will be available on sale.
