Toshiba’s Tecra R940-1JG laptop could be the ideal purchase for businessmen and women looking for a basic machine.
The device, which costs £750, comes with Windows 7 pre-installed for corporate users and Windows 8 is included on DVD, PC Advisor reports.
It packs a 14-inch, 1,366 x 768-pixel screen with non-gloss coating to make images sharper, while the viewing angle is wide enough for two colleagues to be able to see the screen clearly when sat next to each other.
However, the news provider noted there are a few key problems with the laptop, such as the fact its speakers are “a disappointment” and the trackpad is “fiddly to use”, with a fingerprint scanner squeezed in between its two mouse buttons.
Still, it said the Toshiba model is well connected and comes with a VGA port, HDMI display port and Intel’s wireless display technology that enables users to connect to a monitor for presentations.
It is also one of the cheapest laptops in the Tecra range and its Intel Core i5-3230M processor runs at 2.6GHz with Turboboost, while it also has 4GB of memory and a 320GB hard drive.
