Toshiba unveils latest laptop range

Toshiba has unveiled a new range of laptops set to be available from the end of October. The Z-series includes three devices intended for business use – the Toshiba Tecra Z40, the Tecra Z50 and the Portege Z30.

A Z30t model also complements the Z30, by adding a touchscreen. All three will include fourth-gen Intel Core processors and are pre-installed with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 Pro. Connectivity-wise, each model offers three USB 3.0 ports, RGB, an HDMI slot, Bluetooth, WiDi and the option of a mobile data card. A full HD webcam and an SD slow are also included.

When it comes to each machine’s size, the Z30 is the smallest with a 13.3-inch screen, followed by the Z40 with a 14.1-inch display and the larger Z50 model which has a 15.6-inch display. Battery life for the Z50 has not been specified yet, however, the Z40 offers nine hours of usage and the Z30 will give users 12 hours of life.

The price of each Z-series laptop has not yet been revealed, but details will become available closer to the range’s launch.
