Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook Hits UK Market

Fans of Dell laptops will be pleased to hear that the company’s new XPS 13 Ultrabook has gone on sale in the UK.

Unveiled at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, the award-winning machine is the latest to join the ever-growing Ultrabook market and comes with a range of impressive and attractive features, including an aluminium lid, carbonfibre base and a 13.3-inch Gorilla Glass display with 1366 x 768 resolution.

Under the hood, the XPS 13 comes with a choice of Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, 4GB of memory, an Intel HD Graphics 3000 chip and either 128 or 256GB SSD hard drives .

It also boasts Intel Rapid Start Technology and is one of the fist laptops to feature Intel Smart Connect Technology, which wakes up the device and connects it to a friendly Wi-Fi connection when in standby mode to update applications, such as email.

The Ultrabook, which weighs just 1.36kg, is available direct from Dell.co.uk or through select branches of John Lewis and from johnlewis.com. Prices start from £949, including VAT and delivery, for the Intel Core i5 option.
