Sony has announced a new red version of its popular VAIO laptop. If you want to check out whether or not this is a laptop worth your money check out our review here.
The Japanese manufacturer is looking to offer its customers an increasingly wide variety of colours and customisable options.
Not only do certain demographics, including younger consumers, react well to increasing individualisation in the laptop market, this is a great way to add value for tech firms.
Brandon LeBlanc, senior marketing communications manager at Microsoft, which is supporting the new red device with its operating system, said: “This red finish is created by a variety of painting techniques on different materials such as carbon fiber and aluminum. Multiple layers of paint are applied and hand polished giving it a distinctive colour.”
The VAIO Duo, Pro and Fit models will all be available in the new shade. All laptops in this range also come fitted with a 4th generation Intel i7 core processor, 12 GB of random access memory and 512 GB of storage.
